Have you ever wondered what life is like for an average blind Kenyan? Are our public spaces really considerate of Person With Disability (PWD) Our Matatus, offices, churches etc. How do blind people get from point A to B everyday in Nairobi? What hurdles do they face?

Dandora Hiphop City has a team focus on PW.D.s and carries out activities to empower them as part of integration into the community. To commemorate the annual white cane day 2018, which is a date set aside to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of blindness and tool of independence, Dandora Hiphop City presents: A MILE IN MY SHOES.

A Mile in my shoes will be a blind folded walk from Dandora to KICC to be held on October 13 2018. The walk seeks to sensitize the community regarding people living with disability and increase awareness that facilitates their integration into the community.

In line with the UN sustainable goals for the integration of persons living with disability, we seek to educate thorough experience ( being blind folded) just for 12 km of the challenges a blind individual persists through. Utaweza au la?
